Offshore wind decommissioning scenario explorer

As many wind farms approach the end of their operational life, planning for decommissioning becomes increasingly important. The offshore wind decommissioning scenario explorer is designed to illustrate the potential impacts, trade-offs, and requirements associated with various strategies, with insights drawn from expert interviews, literature review, and scientific research. The tool covers key themes such as costs, logistics, biodiversity, legislation, and available technologies. Any wind farm specific information is included for illustrative purpose only and was not verified nor validated with any offshore wind farm operator. This tool was developed by POM West-Vlaanderen as part of the OWiDEx project to help stakeholders explore and compare different decommissioning scenarios.
